Heater Removal and Rewire
Since I have decided that the heater will not be hooked back up Ive decided to remove it, cover the hole and rewire some of the underdash mess.
Here you can see the hole that is left from removing the heater box and you can see the aluminum sheet that I will cut a repacement cover from to finish the firewall off.
I found an old Street sign laying around and decided to use it to create a plate to block off the hole in the firewall. I cut it to shape and will bolt it in place with stainless Bolts then onto the wiring.
Here it is bolted in place and ready to mark the rest of the holes. Once its bolted in and painted black it should blend in nicely then I can start wiring the under dash again. In the last picture you can see all the holes drilled so i need to puck up some flush stainless steel bolts to finish it off.
Here is the finidhed product. The button head screws really give it a clean look and it looks like it belongs there alsmost. I relocated the tranny dipstick and now ahve to work on rerunning the fuel lines.
