Leak-Proof Exhaust Gaskets
After trying several types of Exhaust gaskets from Mr. Gasket, Rol, FelPro Header Gaskets, ect... I have found that the only way to prevent blow out and leaks was to design sometihng that would work.
With the advise of others below is what I came up with.
FEL-PRO #9275 B. The standard paper/metal perf gasket for stock manifolds, and a tube of Permatex Ultra Copper Silicone. The idea is if you gave the gasket a pliable surface on each side it will fill any gaps or imperfections. So what I did was lay out all of the gaskets and then put a bead of the Ultra Copper on each side.
After all the others this has worked flawless.......... Feel free to use this idea on your own vehicle if you are having leaking problems that you cannot stop, I almost guarantee it will work....
